Painting the stairwell

Not sure how we're going to do this in the end but Dan made a start on painting the first coat on the stairwell before Jason wanted to do more woodwork there so we will return later.

Week 19

Week 18

This week the builders have knocked through from the hall to the utility room! The last of the holes to be knocked in the house I believe.

Stairs

We have extra stairs today. The existing stairwell isn't actually square so they needed a bit of jiggery pokery to get them in, but they look lovely and work wonderfully! The central hole goes from the loft landing right down to the ground floor. I think there might be space for some type of special Christmas decoration there when the time comes!

The loss of a stained glass window

Today the stained glass window has gone. :o( It's left a rather large hole in the wall!

Gaffa tape

When you can't remove the stair carpet what better to use than Gaffa tape to protect it.
When you don't want dust in everything what else would you use than Gaffa tape to seal it!

Hall Radiator

Chris has done a fantastic job of lifting floorboards and plumbing the new radiator in the hall. Originally he tried to access it from the downstairs toilet with very funny results.
